Drowning

Death by drowning can occur in just inches of water, but even someone who appears to have drowned can recover with no ill-effects. In fact, some casualties have been without oxygen for up to 30 minutes and made a full recovery. As long as it does not present any safety risk to you, attempt to save and resuscitate anyone who is drowning or presumed drowned.
Near-drowning is classified into two types:
* Wet: Where the casualty has inhaled water into their lungs.
* Dry: where the airway has closed due to spasms induced by water.
